Among all the budget streamers I've used so far, LP10 is the easiest to set up and the most reliable. I've never experienced any pauses while playing due to a bad network. And its output sample rate is now more than 44.1kHz! It's nearly perfect for my Topping D50 III.
The setback is that my old favorite Arylic web interface is gone, and I mainly use only the optical out interface, so I cannot use any EQ feature.
LP10 doesn’t support 4Stream. It cannot read my FLAC files from my server! Worse, it doesn’t support Qobuz Connect! What where you thinking? What good is 24/192 support if I can’t play my own FLAC files or play Qobuz. Very unhappy about the LP10. I would prefer you update the S10+ to support 24/192 and you would have a winner. Right now, the LP10 sucks!
The Arylic LP10 does what it says. Finaly, we have multiroom Google Cast and Airplay 2 for a great price!
I especially like the web interface too. Why is that not mentioned on the website or in the manual? It’s an amazing thing. No App needed.
However, I do have a few gripes:
I would like to see password protection for the web interface. As well as an optional SSL-Encryption for the web interface. (Could be disabled by default to not scare unknowing Users with a Certificate-Error)
What I am really missing is the Option to disable Line-In. I don’t need it. I would like to disable it via the web interface, just like I can with USB and the other Services/Protocols.
For now, it’s a solid 4 Stars. If the mentioned issues get fixed, I would easily give it 5 Stars. If you can live with the aforementioned issues, it’s a clear recommendation.
LP10 AirPlay 2 and Google Cast Music Streamer
I bought an LP10 because it has both AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth. My wife is used to using Bluetooth and I wanted something familiar to her, she does not want anything complicated. We watched some tv on her laptop last night to discover somewhere between a quarter and a half second delay. Completely unusable. I have a cheap £25 Logitech Bluetooth reciever that behaves way better.
I found out from Chat GPT after the event that this is a known problem with Arylic, but there was no indication in Arylic’s advertising that it was unusable for video playback. If I can’t find a workaround, I’m going to have to send it back.
